There was a time when staying connected did not require much thought.
We saw our family at home. We met our classmates at school, our teammates on the court, our colleagues at work. Friends, too, had our usual places to meet.
We were simply there, in each other’s lives.
Then life moved on.
Someone graduated. Someone took a job somewhere else. Children grew up and left home. A project ended. A team stopped meeting. Friends moved to different cities, sometimes different countries.
Nothing necessarily happened to the relationship.
Life simply took away the place that used to bring us together.
Of course, we can still message one another. We can make video calls, share photographs, and arrange the occasional gathering.
These things help us stay in touch.
But sometimes there is still something missing.
The family home, the classroom, the workplace, the court, the café we always met at. These were more than locations. They were places where being together happened naturally.
When those places disappear from everyday life, the relationship has to find another way to continue.
That is one of the ideas behind Clozeu.
A private shared place for family, friends, and groups who still want to remain part of one another’s lives.
Somewhere the moments we shared can remain.
Somewhere new ones can join them.
Somewhere we can return to even when months or years pass between the times we meet.
A place that supports the conversations, gatherings, and relationships we already have.
A place that belongs to the people whose lives meet there.
Life will keep moving.
Perhaps our place can move with us.
