Groups

A group can be as simple as a circle of friends or as structured as an organisation with chapters, committees, or different levels of responsibility.

Clozeu supports both.

A Standard Group is non-hierarchical. It suits groups where members participate more or less as equals.

A Structured Group is hierarchical. It suits organisations where there are recognised levels, roles, branches, or subgroups.

Both types of Group Space provide a shared place for the things that belong to the group, such as events, collections, conversations, decisions, and connections.

A group can remain simple when that is all it needs. It can also grow into a more structured form when its real-world organisation becomes more complex.

Groups can also connect with other groups. This makes it possible to represent larger organisations without putting everyone into one enormous space.

A local chapter can remain its own group while still belonging to a wider association. A department can be part of a larger organisation. Several related groups can remain distinct while sharing a broader connection.

The idea is to let the digital structure reflect how people actually organise themselves.
