Every group eventually needs to make decisions.
The important question is who should have the responsibility to make them.
In Clozeu, this depends partly on how the group itself is structured.
In a Standard Group, members participate as peers. Important decisions can therefore be handled collectively, reflecting the idea that responsibility for the group is shared among its members.
In a Structured Group, some decisions may belong to particular roles or levels of the organisation. A local chapter may manage its own matters, while wider decisions belong to the larger body.
The aim is for governance to follow the real nature of the group.
This also avoids making the person who first creates an online group its permanent controller when the group itself belongs to everyone involved. Administrative and governance roles can still protect the space where needed.
Clozeu treats decision-making as part of the group structure rather than as an afterthought.
Different groups can therefore govern themselves differently, depending on whether they are communities of equals, structured organisations, or something in between.
